Oh yeah, I'm happy now the very last thing that he knew He'd found his courage late in his life shot in back of the head by his wife She'd been beautiful comfortable with her greed she had married young with avarice her love was not for him and he knew she'd never be the same His eyes were made of stone Wilson led the hunt she had her fun silently then back to her husband's bed and he knew she'd never be the same he knew she'd never be the same he knew she'd never be the same, when he stood his ground lovely day for a hunt, when you need to know if you can be the kind of person you think you are The Lion charged with hate for the men that fought his life Francis fled in cowardice as Wilson calmly killed he knew he'd never be the same Francis woke up changed His fear had lost it's hold He had found a bit of bravery for the first time in his life and he knew he'd never be the same he knew he'd never be the same when he stood his ground All he ever knew was a flash in his head sure he'd seen the last they left him for dead but what happened next is not the point, the story had an end Francis Macomber lived life for a moment, a moment more than most my friend lovely day for a hunt, when you need to know if you can be the kind of person you think you are

I wish I was a happy drunk but I'm mean as hell and I don't know why tennessee, I feel the click and then I seem to lose my mind Black as a moonless night Rage for the hopeless fight the battle for a false position will create a worn condition I wish I was a happy drunk but I'm mean as hell and I don't know why old writer, you do simplify and still I tried to hold the line Jake, I thought when I was young Brett is not the only one but I can't choose the love I find true love is the only kind there are better days and there are days that can kill nights that satisfy with no particular thrill when the morning comes like it always will I'll take whatever I've learned and leave the past down the hill and I'll never pursue, a love that's not true there are better days and there are days that can kill nights that satisfy with no particular thrill when the morning comes like it always will I'll take what I've learned and leave the past down the hill and I'll never pursue, a love that's not true I wish I was a happy drunk but I'm mean as hell and I don't know why cassidy, my honesty was lost but I don't want to meet your end there's somethin to the easy road suit your needs and nothing more choices made to bluff contrition will confuse the expedition I was sure I'd get away with this lie just till the day that I die she had all a man needs but love wasn't to be and I drank my way out of her life

Dauphinee 01:29
You opened the shade one dark afternoon letting silver light flood through a room that had given up the fight Love, life and all that I knew Fell on your hair in a beautiful blue I came back I don't why it took so long To open my eyes, and know that I'd like to find peace of mind and then let you inside But it has to be My Dauphinee I'm sure you'll see We are free You and I We can look up to the sky And everything we think we know will sail on by

the frost on the leaves white, black and brown afraid that the memory wouldn't stay fast in the folds of her mind I set aside a place for the story to stay while we wait our love grew cold in the winter will it come back in the spring young as the grass bright as new sun each moment a wave yielding for none we'll find our love in the spring for now get some sleep I can't give up now I can't give up now baby please take my hand come with me you'll be my first love maybe I'll fall but I'll get back up till I can be the man you want me to be

it's not how you fall it's how you get back up shake the dust off your feet they're all afraid of a big idea keep the faith don't back down Harold Camping I'm afraid the day has come and gone Harold Camping hold your head up high, third times a charm rough business apocalypse money flows like good wine broadcast your truth far and wide guaranteed to raise a crowd Harold Camping I'm afraid the day has come and gone Harold Camping hold your head up high, third times a charm Mr. Camping tell me this how could you wish such violence to the ones that you love the sun rose and fell on rapture day is it easier to know how they die? Harold Camping I'm afraid the day has come and gone Harold Camping hold your head up high, third times a charm

about

Amateur Taxidermy was recorded during a year of turmoil, travel and change. Many of the songs were written by Nick in Brooklyn, NYC and while spending the winter in Lacoste, France. Amateur Taxidermy was finished in Washington DC, after Nick was forced into heavy opiate use by a broken jaw. The amateur taxidermy is over, and professionals are now being called in to put Nick back together. Nick can also be found as the bassist/projectionist for The Cassettes and other soon to be announced musical explorations.

This album is dedicated to Randee Bowman, my great love and muse.
